NEW DELHI: The Supreme court on Monday agreed to look into the controversy arising out of leak of emails of Essar group and issued notice to the corporate house.
A bench headed by Justice T S Thakur asked the group to file response within six weeks on a PIL alleging that the house had given favour to various politicians and bureaucrats.
At the beginning of hearing, the bench asked Prashant Bhushan about the source of in-house email communication of the group.
Bhushan said that he was supplied the details by a company employee and he could not reveal the name as it would put life of whistleblower in danger.
